Lucca, ND was founded in 1891
as a Soo Line town. It is in south-central North
Dakota, between I94 and the South Dakota border.
Historical records indicate
Lucca has existed in two locations, about a mile
apart. We found that to be accurate. Thanks to
some enlightening correspondence from site visitor
Linda Johnson, we're able to confidently say,
the majority of the pictures you see on this page
are from the "Old" Lucca townsite, about
a mile north of modern-day Lucca (with the exception
of the cemetary, which is in modern Lucca). |
